I should be in bed, asleep. Tomorrow I need to be up and ready to leave for Denton, Texas. Jacque will pick me up about 10 or so.

We're attending and participating in the North Texas Book Festival. Tomorrow evening is the Awards Dinner, and my young adult novel, Case of the Missing Coach, is one of the finalists in the children's division. I'd be so thrilled if it wins.

Then Saturday is the book festival itself. I'll be giving a presentation that afternoon about reaching reluctant readers, using my two YA books as part of the presentation. All day we'll have our books for sale, but we're launching Trockle. Wish all the shipment had arrived, rather than just 50 copies.

Holly Jahangiri, who invented Trockle, and her son will be there, as will Jordan M. Vinyard, the artist who brought Stephen and Trockle to life with her illustrations.

Hopefully, when I get back home Sunday night, I'll have photos and news to share about the festival.

Festivals, writing conferences, and appearances at libraries, schools, and bookstores build a wider network. Wider networks eventually sell books.

4RV Publishing and I need more books sold. I'm learning how to promote and market as quickly as I can.

Watch for 4RV authors and artists to visit your local bookstores, schools, or libraries.
